Holy greetings to you in the name of the one true God, our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. We are thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ that he has continued to show mercy on us. The name of the one true God is to be praised above all names given among men. Since our last publication of the Truth of God Journal, a new millennium has dawned; the 21st century. Yet the purpose of the Lord Jesus and mission of the First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Inc. remains the same - and that is to deliver the word of God to peoples everywhere to the end that they may be saved from the wrath of God that is to come. The Truth of God Journal's purpose too remains unchanged. Its purpose is to capture and preserve the work of the Holy Ghost through his servant Pastor Gino Jennings and the First Church as the will of God unfolds in our day. This the fourth edition of the Truth of God Journal has as its feature article, an account of the First Church's dialogue with a American Muslim organization called the Nation of Islam (NOI). The events surrounding and leading up to the April 14, 2001 televised religious discussion with the NOI was significant. Significant because an open public discussion between a minister of Holiness and the NOI has never occurred, at least not in recent memory. The issue at hand was the question of whether God Almighty was self-created from "triple darkness". The outcome of the discussion between Pastor Jennings and Minister Rodney Muhammad is continuing to reverberate thought the Muslim community.
| | The work of the Lord continues to grow in the United States and abroad. Numerous men, women and children continue to receive the word of the Lord and to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. For the first time services were held in home of a Pakistani family that have been watching the Church's weekly television program. An important link has been established with south India via Pastor Joseph Yelchuri. Youth and National conventions have been held in Jamaica West Indies and contacts have been established in the Philippines. The saints in the United Kingdom under the leadership of Elder Filbert Johnson are continuing sincerely in the Lord. A new worship center was dedicated in South Norwood, London. Missions to prisons are continuing. The broadcast arm of the church has also continued to extend its reach. The telecast, the Truth of God program, is now airing on 26 television stations and 13 radio stations throughout the United States. The Truth of God Radio and Television Program continues to attract the attention of millions throughout the US and abroad. This includes the major cities New York City. Chicago, New Orleans and Philadelphia. It is our sincere prayer that the this issue of the Truth of God Journal will serve to edify you touching the work of the God through Pastor Gino Jennings and the First Church of our Lord Jesus Christ.
